The Kitchen Renovation Goal
The homeowners wanted the space to feel somewhat urban, but at the same time have a lot of warmth. Going with a neutral color palette to keep the coloring warm, Ana and Jennifer brought depth to the space by featuring 3 different cabinet materials.
The Custom Cabinetry
Jennifer designed the custom kitchen with three different finishes, adding a lot of texture to the sleek design.
- Glossy lacquer cabinetry was used for a majority of the upper cabinets, creating a contemporary vibe. The reflective surface allows the light to bounce around the room.
- Glass doors with a crackled metallic texture bring a big dose of glamour to the space and are the focal point of the room when you walk in.
- Bamboo veneer with a stain make up the lower cabinetry, which brings warmth to the sleek space with the wood element, but looks clean and modern in a the slab door style.
The Countertops
This Newton kitchen features contemporary quartz countertops. The bright counters bring a touch of freshness to the kitchen. A thick miter edge build up on the island makes the countertop feel really substantial and luxurious.
Appliance Details
Other facets of the kitchen that really helped make the space feel polished and sleek are the flush installed appliances, including the double ovens. The fridge has a gorgeous appliance cabinet panel to help it blend seamlessly into the cabinetry.
